Toy House is held in school on Wednesday afternoon (during term time) between 2.15-3.15pm (see below for dates). Toy House is open to all children aged between 0-3 years old with potential additional needs and their parents/guardians.
Toy House is a place that you can come to with your child that is a fun, safe and supportive environment. Children have fun exploring and playing in the classrooms and outdoor spaces and parents have a chance to connect with other parents who are in the same position or speak to experienced staff who can provide advice and support.
During the school year we make use of the Foundation Stage classrooms, outdoor areas and P.E. Hall. During Toy House we have themed play sessions and sensory exploration and sensory integration play sessions.
Throughout the year we run information sessions during Toy House, these include sessions about play based learning, behaviour and sleep, sensory processing, speech and the statementing process and how to apply for school.
Toy House is a group that supports children who could potentially come to our school or other local special schools and it also supports children that could access their education in learning support units and within mainstream classrooms and nurseries.
